We take pride in being involved in the tight-knit Central Oregon community where we chose to start our business and raise our families. It’s important for us to give back and find ways to stay engaged with our town and community members in Bend, so we can continue to advocate and strengthen our growing city.
Staying involved in Bend and Central Oregon not only allows us to interact with many different people who we might not otherwise get to know, but also gives us the satisfaction in knowing we are enhancing our strong, thriving community of businesses owners and families, who have also chosen to call this amazing town home. Both Mark and CJ (our founders) are members of a variety of different clubs and nonprofit organizations around town and enjoy many of the Central Oregon outdoor activities that are right in our backyard. After all, there’s no better place to be than right here in beautiful Bend, Oregon (shhhh, don’t tell anyone).
Where Does CJ Contribute His Time?
Yes, CJ is among many of the California transplants in Bend who just couldn’t resist everything Central Oregon has to offer. He, his wife, Amanda, and their three children—Evie, Oliver, and Bo—happily enjoy all the activities (outdoor and in) that our vibrant community has to offer.
Aside from being an experienced financial advisor and dad to three active kiddos, CJ is also currently involved with BendFilm and the Rotary Club of Bend. With Rotary, he has served as a Board Member, President and Duck Race chair in past years. He currently chairs the Daddy Daughter Dance. Through volunteerism and charitable giving, the Rotary Club of Bend works to change the lives of people in our community and in communities across the globe.
A member of the Athletic Club of Bend and an active trail runner, it’s safe to say CJ makes fitness and staying healthy a priority! He participates in the Cascade Lakes Relay race each summer. If you're ever in town during race weekend, don’t hesitate to give him a hoot or holler when you see him running by! With everything CJ is doing in the Bend community, he definitely knows how to keep busy, but his top priority (outside of being a dedicated husband and father) is to take care of his clients and make sure they are set for their ideal financial future. Get in touch so you can talk with CJ about your financial goals!
Where Does Mark Contribute His Time?
Being a native Oregonian, and loving the lifestyle of Bend, Mark and his wife, Tran, decided to plant their roots in Central Oregon back in 2007. Mark, Tran, and their two daughters love to be outdoors and enjoy the activities that Central Oregon has to offer—it’s safe to say that their weekends are anything but boring.
Mark is also heavily involved in the Rotary Club of Greater Bend, as a board member (a different club, but with the same mission). He is also chairman of the World Community Service (WCS), which focuses on sanitation and education projects in Latin America. WCS unites Rotary Clubs internationally to service communities in need of assistance on projects. Additionally, Mark is involved in the annual Rotary Wine Raffle Fundraiser, where all proceeds benefit local student scholarships and world community service projects. Given the amount of time Mark spends with the Rotary Club, you can guess that Bend business owners and contributors around town know his name, for good reason.
Outside of his Rotary Club involvement, Mark also volunteers with the Oregon Club of Central Oregon (Go Ducks!). He currently serves as vice president of the club and works to raise funds to benefit student/athlete scholarships through the Duck Athletic Fund. Mark assists in the planning and execution of the annual THE DUCK golf tournament in Central Oregon and is also a key contributor to the annual Signing Day Party and Auction. Mark is proud to be an active alumnus and give so much time back to his alma mater—in the Central Oregon community and beyond.
